At 22 years old, Roger Federer, a 2-time Grand Slam Champion and recently crowned No.1, faced off against Rafael Nadal, then 17 and ranked No.34 with no ATP titles.
During the third round of the Miami Open, Nadal generated 22 unforced errors from Federer, breaking his serve three times. The result was a 6-3, 6-3 victory for Nadal.

The debate over "who is better" may never be resolved. While stats and empirical facts suggest that Federer seems better than Nadal, Nadal is the only player with a positive record over Federer in more than four games played.
It's hard to believe that Federer's skills vanish while facing Nadal. Instead, it's possible to think that emotions play a key role, alongside factors like surface and weather. What are the emotional aspects that seem to influence Federer when facing Nadal?
To answer this, it's crucial to complement training with psychology, as emotions can negatively affect performance if not addressed.
That's why more teams, athletes, traders, and artists consider and include psychological coaching and training.
Some examples of professionals using psychology and training include Imma Puig, the psychologist for Barcelona FC, the world's most competitive team; Phil Towle, the "Performance Enhancement Coach" who works with Kevin Carter, an NFL player, and Nick Vermeil, the Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team, as well as James Hetfield, the leader of the famous heavy metal band Metallica. In Argentine soccer, Pablo Nigro serves as the psychologist for River Plate.
Many countries and disciplines haven't yet adopted psychological coaching. That's why, in my opinion, it's crucial to embrace it sooner rather than later – not only for its benefits but also to capitalize on a "market opportunity" that remains relatively untapped.
